Harvest Festival 2013 Lineup Leaks, Rumours & Confirms – The Countdown Begins

Written by Mike Hohnen on May 8, 2013

The official dates for the 2013 return of Harvest Festival have now been locked in, meaning it’s time we start using our net savvy to piece together our comprehensive list of rumours, leaks, and confirms as to who will be performing, who might be performing and who straight-up won’t be. Only a few vital details are confirmed as of now, but according to super promoter and Twitter maniac A.J. Maddah, organisers are still working hard to turn exciting possibilities into fantastic realities. So here goes.

UPDATE: The 2013 Harvest Festival line up is here!

This sweeter sister to Soundwave festival is arranged to feel more like a European festival, with a broad mix of talent, not just current buzzworthy acts. From this morning’s announcement we know that Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne will be treated to the festivities, though A.J. has clearly stated previously that Adelaide and Perth shows “will never happen.” Soz guys, but do rest assured that sideshows will be happening in non-Harvest cities.

The full lineup is expected to be announced some time around June or July so it won’t be too much longer until we get the fine skinny. Maddah has been unusually quiet on the topic of lineup additions, mentioning that 8 bands have so far been confirmed. Bon Iver are yet to be ruled out as a key feature, despite the festival apparently struggling to lock them in but She And Him are looking like firm favourites – not only are they entering the new album cycle, but they only just missed out on last year’s Harvest.

So here’s what you came for – check out the list of tips so far, which we’ll be updating until zero hour, and do feel free to hit us up with any sneaky hints we may have missed.
