Hear Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile’s Debut Single ‘Over Everything’

Courtney Barnett and her American m8 Kurt Vile have unveiled their debut collaborative single, in the lead up to their debut collaborative album, Lotta Sea Lice.

The singer-songwriters’ first publicly released song together, ‘Over Everything’ (below), sees them tag-team the tracks lyrical passages over typically eazy-breezy instrumentals, with musings about everything from guitars to tinnitus, songwriting and living alone.

Lotta Sea Lice, which is set for release on 13th October, also sees Barnett and Vile take on each other’s songs, with Vile doing Barnett’s ‘Outta The Woodwork’ and Barnett covering Vile’s ‘Peepin’ Tomboy’. The record also features contributions from Mick Turner and Jim White of The Dirty Three and Stella Mozgawa from Warpaint.

Barnett and Vile have already announced plans to take their music on the road, but no Australian shows have been announced just yet.

Meanwhile, Courtney Barnett’s next solo album is expected to be released in 2018.
