Australia’s own home grown and operated festival Homebake is just around the corner, and event organisers have now released the playing times for all your favourite Aussie, Kiwi and now international acts such as The Saints, Something for Kate, San Cisco, Sonic Animation and Australian buzz act of the moment Tame Impala.
So far there doesn’t seem to be any major clashes, though if you’re both a Blondie and Kimbra fan, that might be a problem as they both close out their particular stages at the same time. WA boys Pond will close out the Roland S. Howard Stage while Birds of Tokyo will finish up the Dome stage just after Angus Stone gives us a taste of his latest folk/blues solo effort (note: his sister Julia is also playing on this stage *cough* surprise duet).
Specialising in Australian music, Homebake is one of our most popular festivals. Despite normally having no imported talent albeit for the odd Kiwi artist here and there, it still manages to bring one of the biggest crowds around. Well, that is until 2010 when they decided to take a year off. As organisers put it, the planets were not aligned for that year, though it would be returning for a solid 2011.
Check out all the playing times below.
