After heavily consulting with their Australian fanbase, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have now confirmed the cities and venues for their run of tour dates Down Under. Earlier in the year, the band announced the dates in which they would be in town, leaving it to fans to select where they shows take place.
Fortunately for the Red Jumpsuit, they won’t be heading anywhere too obscure with the obvious venue being selected for most legs of the tour. Coffs Harbour won over Armidale, Byron Bay and Port Macquarie, with Newcastle beating Central Coast and Mona Vale. Sydney was selected for a show over Wollongong and Canberra, which seems correct, as does the decision to perform in Melbourne and not Bendigo or Geelong.
Returning Down Under in support of their latest EP Et Tu, Brute?, RJA certainly turned heads with their innovative solution to fan interaction and international touring, though the results were far from surprising. Fans were encouraged to vote for the city of their choice by purchasing a ticket. Of course, if your city didn’t win, you didn’t pay.

UPDATE: RJA have just announced that they will also be performing in Perth, with a show locked in at the Villa for Sunday, 17th November. Joining the band will be The Sweet Apes and Red Beard. Details below.
