Sleepmakeswaves Announce 10th Anniversary National Tour

Aussie post-rockers sleepmakeswaves have announced a 2018 national tour in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their debut EP in today, already walks tomorrow.

The band will be bringing back founding guitarist Jonathan Khor for the run of shows, which will take in Canberra, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth this September and October.

In a statement, sleepmakeswaves say the tour has a special place in their hearts.

“This tour is a celebration of 10 years of sleepmakeswaves, and it means a lot to us to bring this show around Australia,” they say.

“We will be reaching deep into the back catalogue to unearth some old favourites, as well as some more recent jams from Love Of Cartography and Made Of Breath Only.

“[Jonathan Khor] will be joining us for all shows on this special once-off tour. Then, as part of this deal, we can never contact him again.”

Four of the band’s upcoming shows will also be supported by Northern Irish instrumental rock band And So I Watch You From Afar, who released their latest album The Endless Shimmering in 2017.
