The Drones Want To Record Their New Album At Your Place

The Drones have confirmed that they’ll soon be heading to work on their 7th full-length album – that is, as soon as they find a place to record it. The band has taken to Facebook to reach out to their fanbase in an attempt to score some sweet new digs for them to set up basecamp and get tracking on the new album for the next 6 months.

The latest offering from the band came in the form of I See Seaweed, which dropped as recently as February of this year, so there’s every chance the follow-up could be released before the current record even has time to collect dust. Of course, the 6 months of recording doesn’t mean the new album will be out in 6 months, but it’s still a fairly quick turnover period.

6 studio albums deep, the band have a good idea of what they need from their recording space and have put a list of basic requirements before fans hit them up with suggestions. One thing’s for sure, they are a band of little need.

If you know of anywhere that fits the below description, best hit the band up quick, as the sooner they can find a place they sooner we’ll get the album!

“hey all, the drones are looking for a space to rent in or around inner city Melbourne. we want to set up a recording studio in it for at least 6 months so we can make a new record.

it’s gotta have

-reasonably priced rent

-no noise issues as we are pretty loud

-plenty of space… for example: 1 big room, 2 small rooms would be great.

-the ability or potential to be heated so we don’t freeze

-good acoustics ie: not a concrete box….. wooden floors and high ceilings are preferable

-good security

-a reasonable level of privacy

if anyone can help out please send us a message…. that’d be great.

thanks from the band.
