The xx Australian Tour April 2013

Buzzing UK indie trio The xx will play their largest venues in Australia to date when they return to our shores in April.

The band – Jamie Smith, Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim – were a massive hit with fans when they briefly visited last year. Their two intimate shows in Sydney and Melbourne sold out in minutes, while Smith – under his alter-ego Jamie xx – also sold out two solo shows in the same cities in the blink of an eye.

Fans in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne are set to receive a suave mix of tracks from The xx’s self-titled debut and last year’s hit album Coexist, which entered at No.2 on the ARIA charts and was lauded by critics and fans alike.

Joining them on their run of mostly sold out tour dates will be “one of the best bands in the world” as described by NME, Jagwar Ma. The homegrown Sydney duo have blown minds left a lasting impression UK media with their singles Come Save Me and The Throw which they will be sure to use when warming up the crowd on these dates.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow – Tuesday, January 15 at midday AEST. Judging by how quickly tickets went last time, you’d better be primed and ready if you want to see The xx tear it up in April.
