Asta Announces National Tour For Debut EP ‘Shine’

Electro-pop songstress and soon-to-be superstar Asta has just announced the release date for her debut EP Shine, plus a huge national tour — both of which are scheduled to greet your ears and eyes on 17th February next year.

Asta was busting out bangers back when she was just 17 years old, being picked up by triple j‘s Unearthed High back in 2012. This was promptly followed by lots of love from the station’s listeners, and even scored her a spot in last year’s Hottest 100. It also paved the way towards a very exciting 2017.

These days, Asta’s music is hook-heavy unadulterated pop, teamed with vocals that are soulful, heartfelt and bursting with power. Her latest single Shine is the perfect taste of what we can expect from her debut EP. Complete with new writing and production collabs with Melbourne’s Yeo and emerging writing talent Aurelia, Asta’s new EP is sure to induce snappy summer dance moves and soaring singalongs.

Now, at 22 years old, Asta feels she has truly found her own unique sound.

“Having been discovered in high school by triple j, I had to do some living before I had enough to say for a debut EP. I think I’ve scrubbed enough dishes, eaten enough tofu and broken a few hearts now to deserve a party,” she says.
