Benee Announces Australian Tour, Shares New Single ‘Glitter’

New Zealand indie-pop wunderkind Benee (FKA Bene) has announced she’ll be playing a handful of Australian shows this November to launch new EP Fire on Marzz, which is out now.

Benee has also released a new single today entitled ‘Glitter’. It’s a hazy, reverb-soaked yet deceptively energetic bop.

It’s been a pretty big 12 months for the artist, you’ve likely heard her tracks ‘Evil Spider’ or ‘Soaked’ on triple j, she sold out her debut headline shows in Australia last time she was in the country, and released the aforementioned Fire on Marzz EP.

“When it came to coming up with a name for my EP, what first came to mind was wanting a phrase that was a big old explosion, because that’s kinda what the EP feels like to me,” she says of the release. “I came up with the name FIRE ON MARZZ and thought it did the best job at not really relating to any song in the EP. I didn’t think there was a phrase that could sum them all up.”

In addition to the upcoming headline shows, Benee will also be appearing at Spilt Milk festival in Canberra and Ballarat in November.

Listen to ‘Glitter’ and check out tour dates below. Tickets are on sale this Friday, 5th July from here.
