Bloc Party Announce 2018 Australian Tour, Performing ‘Silent Alarm’ In Full

Bloc Party are returning to Australia later this year for a very special headline tour.

The English rockers are heading down under to perform their iconic debut record Silent Alarm live and in full this November, with four huge shows across Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Released in 2005, Bloc Party’s full-length debut became an instant classic with bangers like ‘Helicopter’, ‘Banquet’ and ‘Like Eating Glass’.

The album is set to be performed in full in Australia for the very first time, after the band — which now consists of Kele Okereke (vocals, guitar), Russell Lissack (guitar), Justin Harris (bass) and Louise Bartle (drums) — take their Silent Alarm tour to Europe in October.

Bloc Party released their latest studio album Hymns in 2016, following the departure of longtime bassist Gordon Moakes.

The band last toured Australia during Falls Festival 2015/2016, while Kele Okereke performed in Australia earlier this year behind his latest solo album Fatherland.
