Deez Nuts were made for walking, but that’s probably not what they should do. Now that the hardcore heroes have announced a monster nine-date national tour in support of their forthcoming full-length album, Word Is Bond, flying would be the much more logical choice.
The Melbourne-bred foursome will be teaming up with UNFD label-mates Antagonist A.D. for the coast-to-coast tour, which will also double as a co-album launch as the Kiwi band is also preparing to inflict their brand spanking new slab of core, Haunt Me As I Roam, on fans at the end of March – an album which happens to feature guest vocals from Deez Nuts frontman, JJ Peters.
Fans will get nine chances to see the two bands potentially perform together, with the tour traversing Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne across June, with a handful of all ages shows thrown in and extra backup courtesy of Sydney’s Relentless and Melbourne’s Earth Caller.
Although no Tasmania dates have been announced, the band has added cheekily on Facebook, “Note: Tasmania and New Zealand, we will see you both soon.”
Deez Nuts’ fourth album, Word Is Bond, will see the band tour the entire world in support, and the Australian leg comes hot on the heels of a five week run of dates across Europe. They’ve also just announced shows in Spain, Russia and Greece, with plans to take on Canada, the USA and Asia to be announced shortly.
Two music videos have been released from the new LP, with the outrageous one-take video for Face This On My Own released just last week (check it out below).
Word Is Bond is due for release on Friday, 24th April, but preorders are available now via the band’s website.
