Ellie Goulding Announces Australian Promo Tour October/November 2012

Ellie Goulding will hit Australia later this month to promote her brand new album Halcyon.

The album, which is out October 12, is the UK songstress’ follow-up to her hugely successful 2010 debut album Lights, which sold 1.5 million copies worldwide. After debuting at No.1 on the UK charts, Lights went on to become the biggest and fastest selling debut album of the year in her homeland.

Goulding wrote and co-produced all the tracks on Halcyon with producer Jim Elliot, who’s previously worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue and Ladyhawke. The majority of the album was recorded in a converted barn in her hometown in the Hay Valley –

“This album for me is a journey from dark into light, from confusion to understanding, she said.  “I didn’t set out to write a break-up record but I think it became one.”

Goulding is locked in to perform on The X-Factor on October 30 – where she will perform her brand new single Anything Can Happen – a track that saw 2.2 million Vevo views in its first week of release.
