Fatboy Slim Announces 2027 Australian Tour In Some Very Unusual Venues

Fatboy Slim is heading back down under in March 2027 – but this time around, he’s swapping the usual festival stages and superclubs for a bunch of smaller, slightly weirder spaces.

The legendary UK DJ, aka Norman Cook, has announced a seven-date Australian tour spanning Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, with each city getting its own distinctly different setting.

Things will kick off under the stars at Fremantle’s Esplanade Park on Wednesday, 3rd March, before Fatboy Slim sets up shop for a three-night residency inside the heritage-listed Carriageworks in Sydney.

He’ll then turn Brisbane’s South Bank Forecourt into a riverside dancefloor for the return of On The Banks, before wrapping things up with two nights at Melbourne’s new outdoor venue The Underpass – which, as the name suggests, sits underneath the elevated freeway in West Melbourne.

Basically, if there’s a bridge, river, park or old railway shed with enough room for a massive sound system, Norman Cook would like to have a word.

“For this tour to Australia I wanted to get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party!” Fatboy Slim said in a statement.

“Bridges, rivers, parks, old railway sheds – if it’s a bit weird and the sound system’s loud enough, I’m there.”

The Australian run will follow a huge 2026 for Cook, which has included an appearance on Coachella’s Quasar stage, four nights on Brighton Beach and a closing set at Rock in Rio in Brazil.

Fans can naturally expect plenty of classics like Praise You, Right Here, Right Now, The Rockafeller Skank and Weapon Of Choice, alongside some of Cook’s more recent sonic mischief.

That includes Satisfaction Skank, which mashes together his own The Rockafeller Skank with The Rolling Stones’ (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, as well as his current collaboration with Brazilian DJ Carola and Felix Da Housecat, Funk Drunk.

Fatboy Slim has spent more than three decades turning just about any available patch of earth into a dancefloor, from clubs and festivals to beaches – and even the Great Wall of China.

This time, though, the focus is firmly on getting closer to the crowd, with the smaller-capacity venues promising a more intimate version of his famously chaotic live party.

Presale tickets for Fatboy Slim’s 2027 Australian tour will be available from 9am local time on Monday, 14th September, before general tickets go on sale from 9am local time on Tuesday, 15th September.
