Gold Fields Announce ‘Black Sun’ Tour, June/July 2013

Ballarat electro pop stars Gold Fields will be struttin’ their stuff around the country on their Black Sun tour, announcing a series of dates in June and July off the back of their recently released likewise-titled debut album.

Fresh from a big American jaunt, which included performances at SXSW and on American talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the tour will include a series of regional and metro stops beginning in Fremantle on 21st June and winding up in Hobart nearly a month later. They’re sure to pack out the Karova Lounge in Ballarat for one hell of a homecoming show on 12th July.

In a statement, the band have confirmed their excitement at bringing their freshly tweaked shows back to Australia:

“We’ve been waiting so long to get back and play shows at home again. It feels like ages! We’ve spent months honing our live set and touring overseas, and the thought of doing our album tour at home is what’s kept us going. These shows will be the biggest Gold Fields gigs we’ve done and now that the record is out, we can’t wait to bring it to life in the venues and cities we love in Australia.”

Tickets for all shows go on sale this Thursday, 28th March at 9am.
