Green Day have expanded their 2017 Australian arena tour with two new shows, while also announcing which band will support their upcoming Aussie jaunt.
Los Angeles ska-punks and Soundwave Festival alumni The Interrupters have been tapped to join Billie Joe Armstrong and company at all of their forthcoming Australian shows, after supporting the band on their current European tour. The Interrupters are currently touring in support of their latest album, Say It Out Loud.
Meanwhile, after selling out their first shows in Melbourne and Sydney, Green Day have added second and final shows in each city, with tickets set to go on sale early next month.
Green Day’s 2017 Australian tour will see the band play tracks from their latest album Revolution Radio, as well as a bunch of their classic releases. Catch all of the band’s upcoming Aussie dates, below.
Green Day’s American Idiot musical is also set to hit Australia in February, and will star The Living End’s Chris Cheney and Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson as lead cast members.
