John Farnham & Daryl Braithwaite Are Playing A Music Festival In The Aussie Desert

A bunch of Aussie music legends — including the likes of John Farnham and Daryl ‘The Horses’ Braithwaite — have been announced on the lineup for “the most remote music festival in the world”, the Birdsville Big Red Bash.

The event’s 2018 roster will also feature the likes of The Hoodoo Gurus, The Angels, Jon Stevens and Kate Ceberano over three days of music, all set in Queensland’s Simpson Desert, which means its gonna be a hot one…

Now in its sixth year, ‘The Bash’ (as it’s colloquially known) will take place in the July school holidays, so that the kids can tag along too. Farnsey says he’s looking forward to ticking it off his bucket list as well, with an appearance scheduled beneath the 10-storey high Big Red sand dune.

“The Simpson Desert and the remoteness of this event really appeals. Can’t wait to get out there.” he says.

This won’t be the first time that Farnham and his mate Braithwaite have performed at the same event. They headlined the Electric Day lineup earlier this year, before touring together on the Red Hot Summer Tour, which just announced a new Sydney show.
