John Mayer Announces 2019 Australian Tour

Written by Tom Williams on December 12, 2018

John Mayer has announced his return to Australia for a 2019 headline tour behind his latest album The Search For Everything.

The American singer-songwriter will kick off his 2019 ‘An Evening With John Mayer’ tour in New Zealand in March, before performing at Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena later that month.

The shows will see Mayer perform tracks from throughout his career, as part of his first tour down under since 2014. There will also be no support acts during the tour.

“I can’t think of a better place to start my world tour than New Zealand and Australia. It’s been way too long since I’ve been back there,” said Mayer.

Mayer has won seven Grammy Awards during his career, and is best known for songs like ‘Your Body Is A Wonderland’ and ‘Waiting On The World To Change’. The Search For Everything is his seventh studio album, and the follow-up to 2013’s Paradise Valley.
