Kaytranada Announces 2016 Australian Tour

Embarking on his first ever world tour, Haitain born and Montreal based producer Kaytranada is returning once again to Australia and New Zealand this October.

Touring in support of his highly anticipated debut album 99.9%, set to be released May 6th, this visit will mark three years since he last dropped in on us. The tour will kick off in Melbourne on Friday 21st October, before heading to Perth, Brisbane, Auckland and Sydney.

With the album set to feature the likes of Aluna George, Little Dragon, Vic Mensa, Syd from The Internet and most excitingly for this writer Craig ‘Born To Do It’ David, 2016 looks set to be a huge year for Kaytranada. Glowed Up, the first track to be dropped from the album, features hip hop man of the moment and Dr Dre and Kendrick Lamar collaborator Anderson Paak and looks to deliver on all the promise of the producer’s self released EPs and remixes.

Setting the tone for what to expect from the album as well as his live show, it looks like we will be able to relish plenty of the glittering synths and intricate percussion he’s become known for. Plus with the likes of Drake collaborator STWO (FRA) and Kaytranada’s own funk loving brother Lou Phelps (CAN) along in support, you know this is going to be party.

Tickets for the Australian shows go on sale at 10am Tuesday 26th April with the New Zealand shows hitting the market earlier this Friday 22nd April at 10am.

In the meantime you can check out the video for Glowed Up feat Anderson Paak here with full tour details below.
