Melbourne’s KINGSWOOD have been busy – fresh back on home soil from the US the grit-rockers have just inked a deal with Brisbane’s Dew Process, alongside the likes of The Living End and The Hives, and have today revealed to the world their new single Sucker Punch.
Sucker Punch is the first taste of KINGSWOOD’s forthcoming debut album, recorded in Nashville with Grammy Award-winning producer Vance Powell (Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, King Of Leon) and set to be released early next year.
All this polishes off a big year for the Melbourne four-piece, whose EP Change of Heart debuted at #3 on the AiR 100% Album Chart, they were nominated for an AiR award for Best Rock Album and their sweetly titled short film Some Motherfucker’s Gotta Pay scored a nomination for Music Video of the Year at triple j‘s annual J Awards.
KINGSWOOD are all set to play the Big Day Out next year, but will first hit Australia’s East Coast with Calling All Cars for the Life’s A Beach Tour.
