Lollapalooza Announces Lineup For 2013 Event In Chile

2013 will see the Lollapalooza franchise continue its successful escapades through South America. The festival will be returning to O’Higgins Park in Santiago as well as Jockey Club de São Paul, Brazil this coming April. Organisers have today unveiled the full lineup.

Now, what does this have to do with us, you may ask. Gather, children and I shall tell you a tale. You see very recently Big Day Out signed a deal to team up with promotions powerhouse C3, who are also in cahoots with Lollapalooza. The 2012 Lolla and the following 2013 Big Day Out lineups have considerable crossover suggesting that the lineup unfolding in front of us now could very well be replicated to some degree for BDO ’14.

Now that’s probably got your attention! According to Consequence of Sound, Pearl Jam, The Black Keys, deadmau5, and Queens of the Stone Age have been confirmed as headliners for the event in Chile.

As you scroll down you’ll see other names such as A Perfect Circle, Franz Ferdinand, Passion Pit, Nas, Tomahawk, Hot Chip, Crystal Castles, Major Lazer, Puscifer, Alabama Shakes, Gary Clark Jr, Toro y Moi, and Bad Brains.

Honestly, I’d probably go over my word limit detailing the entire massive lineup, but you’ll also see Steve Aoki, Two Door Cinema Club, The Hives, The Temper Trap and Of Monsters and Men on that poster alongside some local acts. You can check out the full thing here though.

So, obviously some of them won’t be on BDO 2013, but there are a few ones that would look real good on that particular lineup. QOTSA for example, maybe even a bit of Pearl Jam. Probably too early to place bets on this, but ya’ll know where you saw it first!
