It’s confirmed. After an eagle-eyed Sydneysider spotted a poster advertising an upcoming Macklemore & Ryan Lewis gig, the duo have confirmed an August 2016 Australian tour, touting their latest album This Unruly Mess I’ve Made at a bunch of arenas around the country.
The rapper/producer pair will kick things off at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre Tuesday on August 2nd before visiting Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, Sydney’s Allphones Arena, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and finishing up (for now) at Perth Arena on August 11th.
Speaking to Music Feeds in February, Macklemore said that an Australian tour was “definitely happening this year”.
“If I’m honest, out of the whole world tour that we’re planning, Australia is the place that I’m most looking forward to coming back to,” he said. “The fans are crazy, Downtown did really well there and we’re guaranteed amazing shows every single time. I can promise it’s going to be huge.”
Joining Macklemore & Ryan Lewis this August will be Sydney crew Thundamentals.
