Open Season has announced its return to Brisbane, with a program of gigs running from May through to July of 2025 across the city. The program includes several artists recently announced as part of this year’s Vivid Sydney and Melbourne’s RISING program – including Portishead‘s Beth Gibbons, folk artist Jessica Pratt, jazz luminary Kamasi Washington and American shoegaze band DIIV. The full list of participating artists, as well as ticketing links, can be found below.
“Every year, Open Season expands and evolves,” said Dave Sleswick – the Creative Director of Brisbane venue collective The Tivoli Group, who program the concert series. “This time, we’re taking over the whole damn city. International icons, national treasures and incredible local talent will take over a variety of intimate and grand venues throughout Brisbane. It’s an open invitation for everyone to experience the magic of live performance, and the power of community through music.”

in the program’s national contingent, The Preatures will play their second show since reuniting in late 2024, marking their first gig in Brisbane since 2018. Blak Day Out will also return to the program, featuring Indigenous artists such as Christine Anu, Thelma Plum and Miss Kaninna. Brisbane folk-rock band The Gin Club are also set to reunite as part of Open Season 2025, playing their first gig in over two years at the Princess Theatre in Woolloongabba.
