Opeth Announce ‘Pale Communion’ Australian Tour

After promising an early 2015 Australian tour, Swedish progressive metal stalwarts Opeth have delivered dates. The band will tour Australia this May in support of their latest studio album, Pale Communion.

Opeth’s Pale Communion Australian tour will see the band playing cuts from their massive 11-album discography, bringing almost 25 years experience onto stages in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, beginning on 3rd May.

Renowned for their huge, diverse sound, stage antics and the captivating talents of frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt, Opeth are a band metal fanatics of all persuasions should not miss.

The group last toured Australia in 2013, behind their 2011 album Heritage. Åkerfeldt told Music Feeds last year that Opeth weren’t going to be doing a festival tour this trip.

“It’s not about us, if you know what I mean. When we travel that distance, I wanna be able to give the Opeth fans what they want,” he said.

He continued: “I wanna go out and do great shows on our own terms, as opposed to being thrown into a whole fucking [festival] machine.”
