Reef Australian Tour Cancelled

Just DAYS away from the much-talked-about Reef Australian tour, word has come through from the band that they will no longer be able to follow through with their previously announced tour commitments.

A brief statement issued on behalf of the band has listed a bereavement in the Reef family that has prevented them from touring. As heartbreaking as this news is for fans, we all wish the band and their loved ones the best through the situation.

Recent interviews with the band have highlighted just how much they love our little country, with singer Gary Stringer telling Life Music Media, “We’re always fairly successful in Australia, we went there three times in the Nineties and we had sold a lot of records, we got gold records there and we always get a really good vibe from the audience there. I have a lot of time for Australia, I’ve never had a bad vibe there and I am really looking forward to it”.

The band has used the statement to apologise to fans: “The band would like to extend their apologies to anyone who has purchased a ticket and to thank Select Touring for their understanding at this time.”

No immediate word has come through on new shows. Ticket holders will be sweet for a full refund.
