Fresh from warming up the stage for Foo Fighters on their Sonic Highways Australian tour earlier this year, Rise Against are set to return to our shores for the second time in 2015, this time with their name in the headline position.
The Chicago punk rock juggernauts will hop a plane back Down Under this December to perform a hat trick of arena dates in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
The shows are open to fans of all ages and, as triple j reports, the band will also be bringing some special guests along for the ride, the identities of whom will be unveiled shortly.
To add fuel to the fire, the band have also unfurled a brand new single off their super successful 2014 album The Black Market, in the form of balled People Live Here, which you can get your eardrums on below.
By the by, today’s Rise Against tour announcement totally backs up a prophecy foretold by AJ Maddah way back in September of last year, which predicted that the band would tour twice in 2015, once as a support act and once as a headliner. Sounds like the Soundwave boss might just be our very own musical Nostradamus.
Tickets go on sale Thursday 9th July, from 9am AEST, with a pre-sale kicking off on Tuesday 7th July, from 3pm local time.
