The Rocky Horror Show Announces 2024 Seasons in Newcastle, Melbourne & Sydney

Renowned stage musical The Rocky Horror Show is returning in 2024, with seasons booked in Newcastle, Melbourne and Sydney. Jason Donovan is set to play Frank N Further, the character made famous by Tim Curry in the film version of the musical, while Myf Warhurst will play the Narrator.

Stellar Perry – who eagle-eyed reality TV show fans will know as a one-time contestant on The Voice – is set to play Magenta/The Usherette and Deirdre Khoo will appear as Janet.

The new run of shows is an extension of The Rocky Horror Show‘s 50th anniversary shows, which took place earlier this year. Donovan, who first burst into the cultural eye for his performance as Scott Robinson in Neighbours, received acclaim for his turn as Frank N Furter, surely one of the horniest, most demented characters in pop culture history.

“Earlier this year I had the greatest pleasure to play Frank in this incredible 50th Anniversary production of the Rocky Horror Show back home in Australia,” Donovan said in a statement. “I can truly say it was one of the most satisfying and enjoyable times in my career.

“From the insanely talented cast, the hard working crew and of course the enthusiastic audiences we could not have asked for anything more so I am beyond thrilled we get to come back around to Melbourne and Sydney for an encore season.”
