We all know that Shannon Noll is one of the most loose unit mad shaggers to ever slap on a pair of blue denims, pick up a microphone and tear up a bloody stage, but even Nollsie isn’t laughing about this stunt that one “fuckin moron” pulled at his gig in South West Rocks last night.
The soul patch warrior was in the midst of his fark-off huge national tour and performing a stop at the local Country Club when some arse-clown decided to throw a bunger (that’s a firecracker for those who don’t speak ‘Strayan) onstage, which injured his keyboard player Michael Tan and apparently several nearby fans.
Following the incident, the Condobolin sheep wrangler took to Facebook to blast the “dickhead” responsible in a fiery rant.
“I’m all about having fun at a show but tonight was completely idiotic!” Nollsie rages with the fury of a two stroke engine at full throttle.
“Someone throw [sic] a bunger on stage right at the end of the show and trying to shut it town my keyboard player stood on it and it has nearly blown his foot off, let alone my drummer who caught shrapnel that cut his arm and hopefully his hearing will come back because he was 6 foot away from the blast!”
“Thank goodness Michael Tan didn’t kick it back into the crowd unknowing the damage it could’ve caused!” Nollsie continues. “Up until that stupidly dangerous act the gig went great! I hope security caught the dickhead who threw it! Always 1 fuckin moron!”
FFS. First Nollsie gets robbed on Australian Idol and now this.
In the meantime, the comment section of Nollsie’s Facebook post has predictably gone off chops with support for the Aussie legend.
“Christ Nollsy! Sounds like a bloody scene outta Dunkirk ya crazy bastard!” One punter wrote. “Never a dull moment with you ya lunatic.. Speaking of shrapnel, ya reckon you can swing me $3.10? Need to top up me mums opal card to get the bus down cash converters in the mornin.. Ya can just cardless cash me if ya outta town.. Anyway Cobb you and Michael Tan stay safe ya mad dogs, it’s a jungle out there…”
While others who were at the show have described suffering shrapnel injuries.
“My daughter was up front when it went off,” another commentator wrote. “She has shrapnel wounds covering one arm, a few on her chest and face. She is fine however it could have been far worse. Her friend standing next to her has shrapnel on her bottom eyelid narrowly missing her eye. She is also fine however it could have been much worse. Until then we were having a great night. I hope you and the other band members are ok and all make a speedy recovery.”
Christ. Police have confirmed to Music Feeds that they’re investigating the incident and currently reviewing CCTV footage to track down the perp.
