Austin-based rockers Spoon have announced a 2015 Australian east coast tour, buoyed by the August release of their eighth studio album, They Want My Soul. The veteran art-rock outfit are set to perform in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney next February.
Spoon were last in Australia for Groovin’ The Moo festival in 2010, after playing both the Big Day Out and the Sydney Festival in 2008. The five-piece are more than ready to make their triumphant return to Australian stages, and their Aussie fans have sorely missed them.
Spoon continue to lap up waves of indie cred as they continually reestablish themselves as one of indie rock’s exciting live bands. On their 2015 tour the group are promising cuts from They Want My Soul, but also their renowned covers of songs by bands like The Smiths and Guided By Voices.
The band’s 2015 Australian east coast tour will begin in Brisbane on Tuesday, 10th February, and wrap up in Sydney on Saturday, 14th February. Full tour and ticket details are available below.
