Sublime With Rome Announce 2017 Australian Tour

Sublime With Rome are getting ready to hit Aussie shores in March next year, which will be the first time they’ve been back since their sold out tour in 2012.

Sublime With Rome formed in 2010, and features Sublime‘s Eric Wilson with singer-guitarist frontman Rome Ramirez and drummer Josh Freese. Sublime were one of the biggest ska-punk bands of all time, forming back in 1988 in Long Beach, California. Their last ever performance took place in 1996, shortly after the tragic death of the band’s original singer Bradley Nowell.

Over a decade after Nowell’s death, 20-year-old Rome was introduced to the band, and shortly after they started jamming together. A few years later, the name change was official.

Nowell’s widow, Troy, explained of the new addition to the band, “Sublime has so many fans and attracts new fans every year who were never able to see Sublime perform live after Bradley passed away… One of the inspirations for forming Sublime with Rome was to bring Brad’s spirit in his music back to the fans and to give the new fans a glimpse of what it was like to see Sublime live.”

In 2015, Sublime With Rome gave us their debut album, Sirens, and Rome explained, “We had more time, we know each other better now, and we’re even better musicians.” Now 28, the singer, guitarist and songwriter is owning his spot centre stage.
