Support Act Announced For Florence + The Machine’s Australian Tour

Florence + The Machine‘s Australian tour is without a doubt one of 2015’s biggest tours and now it’s just gotten even bigger with the addition of Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders.

Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders, which features Kirin J Callinan, Donny Benet and Lawrence Pike, released their acclaimed fourth LP Playmates last year and have since played sold-out shows in Australia and toured overseas, including a slot at SXSW.

They join a mostly sold-out tour which will see Florence Welch and co. play a massive four shows on the Opera House Forecourt as well as two shows in Melbourne and one in Brisbane, Perth and Aukland. It follows her mighty headline set at Splendour In The Grass in July.

If this latest addition makes you hungry to head along, there are very few shows left that aren’t sold-out, so we’d be jumping to it pretty quick.

Even though they have been touring extensively over the last year, these Florence shows could be the biggest yet for Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders. It should be a pretty magnificent spectacle, with their brand of ’80s pop-rock paired with these stunning outdoor venues.

This news comes just as the band have re-released Playmates as Playtones – a collection of polyphonic message tones and alerts. Ladder and co have specially selected parts of each song especially for your phone, because it’s exactly what you never knew you needed.

“If, like me, you’ve had your phone on silent since 2005 because you can’t stand the sound of the thing, then you’ll be excited to hear about the new Playmates ringtones. Playtones,” Ladder said in a statement, via the music.

“Integrate everyone’s favourite album of 2014/15 into your daily life. Sync the sound of your heart with the sound of your message alerts.”
