Australia’s hairiest exports The Beards have just shaved a new single, dubbed Strokin’ My Beard, off their acclaimed 2014 LP, The Beard Album, and to celebrate, they’ve taken things to new lengths with a sizeable tour announcement.
The Strokin’ My Beard Tour will see Adelaide’s razor-shunning rockers return to Australia for a list of dates longer than your grandma’s chin whiskers. We’re talking Dumbledore proportions.
The monumental 24-date trek kicks off in Ballarat on Wednesday 18th March and wraps up pretty much bang on two months later in Cairns on Saturday 16th May, taking in stops across all states and even the Northern Territory. Joining the follicular foursome onboard the Beardmobile will be Melbourne art-rock band The Stiffys, supporting on all dates except those in southeast Queensland.
After a year that saw them snag a second ARIA nomination and play to packed rooms throughout Europe on two separate international tours, The Beards’ Strokin’ My Beard Tour will give local fans the chance to see their highly-original and always-entertaining show, and bear witness to their pro-beard preachings, live in the fuzz-covered flesh.
