Aussie rock stalwarts The Screaming Jets are revving up their engines once again to embark on a marathon tour of Australia, which they’re calling a Rock N Roll Rampage.
Taking in over 30 regional and metropolitan dates, the Dave Gleeson-fronted group’s most ambitious tour in years will traverse New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia across a whopping four months, spanning September right through til Christmas.
“We are absolutely stoked to be playing in these venues,” Gleeson said of the monster run. “They are all hand-picked in the places where we have toured over the years, as well as the places we want to bring our rock stylings to. The more punters, the better the rampage!”
The Jets also have some more good news. They’ve spent the past few months holed up in the studio, working on a brand new studio album. The disc, which currently has the working title of Kiss Me Between the Hangars, is slated for release around October – smack bang in the middle of the tour.
So you can bet the veteran act will be showcasing plenty of new material on the road, as well as plenty of the old classics.
