Watch Lemmy Posthumously Star In A Charity PSA Against Human Trafficking

Prior to his shock death at the end of last year, career badass Lemmy Kilmister had been busy with a few projects outside of Motörhead.

As well as starring in the epic AF new silent movie spectacular Gutterdämmerung and a brilliantly random Finnish milk commercial, Lem also leant his voice to a very worthy cause.

Rockers United, a charity that aims to raise awareness about the horrific realities of human trafficking, has just released a new video PSA featuring the departed hard rock hero speaking out about the issue, alongside Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx, Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath and Backstreet Boys alumnus Nick Carter.

Together, this random amalgamation of musos reveal an absolutely staggering statistic – that over 1 million children per year in the US are kidnapped and forced into a life of sex slavery.

Seriously, is that true? That’s fucking nuts if that’s true, especially seeing as how the US has a population of 318.9 million. Holy shit.

Anyway, the charity itself was founded by acclaimed rock photographer Kevin Estrada, who was inspired to take action after fearing for the safety of his two young daughters.

“For the past few years, human trafficking has been on my radar as we see and hear more and more about this spreading sickness,” he said (via Blabbermouth). “Young girls, like my daughters, fall victim to this travesty every day — and that worries me. It burned my heart. I had to do something. So, I decided to call my rock star friends and see who wanted to join the cause. The response was mind blowing [and] Rockers United was born.”

“Human trafficking is the second largest criminal industry in the world today — second to drug activity,” he continued. “This is tragically happening to nearly two million girls worldwide every year. Some of these girls are as young as 7 years old. This is happening all over the world, and it is also happening right here in our own backyards.”

Watch Lemmy, dressed in his iconic black military-style suit and top hat, posthumously blow your mind with some truth bombs in the video below, or else pitch in to help end human trafficking by donating to Rockers United here.
