From what I can make out, Team Spirit is the product of Ayad Al Adhamy (synth player with Passion Pit) who apparently felt the need to start writing more songs on guitar. The result is “awesome fun rock n roll” according to their band camp.
A debut (eponymous) EP was released at the end of February, however it’s only available for purchase at live shows (which is awesome if you live in the greater New York area, but terrible if you live in Western Sydney).
Team Spirit sound a bit like Wavves before the drugs kick in. Their video embedded below contains adult themes.
