Pop-rock favourites Against The Current are officially heading back to Australia.
The New York trio have announced two exclusive headline shows for January 2027 as part of their Till Death & Back Tour, marking their first Australian performances since 2023.
Against The Current – ‘Dead Man Walking’
Fans can catch vocalist Chrissy Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow and drummer Will Ferri at Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Thursday 21 January before the band wraps up the run at Sydney’s Liberty Hall the following night.
Since forming as teenagers back in 2011, Against The Current have grown from YouTube favourites into one of modern rock’s most recognisable acts, blending soaring pop hooks with arena-sized rock choruses across releases including In Our Bones, Past Lives and the breakout Fever EP.
The band have continued to evolve in recent years, embracing a heavier, more unapologetic sound on singles including silent stranger, blindfolded and good guy, which have collectively amassed more than 40 million streams. Earlier this year, they also offered another glimpse at their next chapter with fiery new tracks Heavenly and Dead Man Walking, both expected to feature on their forthcoming album.
Of course, Against The Current’s reach extends well beyond the rock world. Their collaboration with Riot Games on the League of Legends anthem Legends Never Die has now surpassed one billion streams worldwide, cementing the band as one of the most recognisable crossover acts of the past decade.
The upcoming Aussie dates arrive as Against The Current celebrate 15 years as a band, with the trio continuing to build on a fiercely loyal global fanbase through relentless touring alongside the likes of Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte and All Time Low.
