Marlon Williams Announces 2024 Australian Tour

Marlon Williams has announced a solo tour of Australia, set to take place in June 2024. Dubbed An Evening With Marlon Williams, it will mark the Auckland singer-songwriter’s first solo tour nationally in a decade. It comes almost a year after Williams was last in Australia with his band, touring in support of his third album My Boy. A full run of venues and ticketing information can be accessed below.

The tour announcement follows on from Williams being announced as part of this year’s Open Season programming at Brisbane venue The Tivoli, where he will perform across two nights. An Evening With Marlon Williams had originally been set to take place nationally in 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic until 2021. The tour was ultimately cancelled due to ongoing border restrictions between Australia and New Zealand.

Press materials for An Evening With Marlon Williams describe the concert as “a very different kind of show”. “A full solo performance, [Williams will play] some early material, beloved album songs and an introduction to some sparkling new works,” it reads.
