Memed Metal Veterans Pentagram Announce Debut Australian Tour

Pentagram have announced their first-ever Australian tour, set for August 2025. It comes in support of their ninth studio album Lightning In A Bottle, which was released back in January, and follows on from the band’s unexpected exposure to a new generation of listeners after footage of eccentric frontman Bobby Liebling went viral on TikTok. The full list of tour dates can be found below.

Liebling formed Pentagram in 1971 out of Richmond, Virginia. He has overseen every iteration of the band in the 54 years that followed, although he took an 18-month hiatus from the band circa 2017 following a string of personal and narcotic issues. Liebling’s struggles with addiction were documented in the 2011 film Last Days Here, which premiered at that year’s SXSW.

Pentagram – ‘Live Again’

The current line-up of Pentagram consists of Liebling, guitarist Tony Reed, bassist Scooter Haslip and drummer Henry Vasquez. Both Reed and Haslip were in the band Mos Generator, while Vasquez previously served behind the kit for bands such as Saint Vitus and Spirit Caravan.

The band’s upcoming maiden voyage to Australia will also see VIP packages on offer for each show, which will offer fans a chance to meet Liebling and co. as well as score an exclusive tour poster. These, along with cheaper early-bird tickets, can be purchased via Hardline Media.
