Sabaton Announce 2025 Australian Tour With Amaranthe

Sabaton have announced their biggest Australian tour to date, bringing their live show back down under in September 2025. The announcement comes as the band shares the next taste of their as-yet-unannounced 11th studio album: A single entitled ‘Templars’. Both it, and the band’s upcoming Australian tour dates, can be found below.

Joining the band for all of their Australian tour dates will be fellow Swedish metal band Amaranthe, who are returning to Australia after their debut run of Aus shows in August 2024. Their most recent studio album, The Catalyst, was released last February. Sabaton are also set to perform for one night only in New Zealand, although this will take place sans Amaranthe: At Auckland’s Powerstation on Tuesday, September 9th. More information on that show can be found via AAA Ticketing.

“Playing in New Zealand for the very first time is a massive milestone for us,” said bassist Pär Sundström in a press statement. “We’re beyond stoked to finally rock Auckland and make the ground shake with you all. And Australia… well, every time we land, the people are always so welcoming and we always leave with great stories to tell. Get ready, because this tour is going to be an unforgettable ride.”

‘Templars’ marks the band’s first new music of 2025, as well as their first in just over two years following the Stories From The Western Front EP in April 2023. In an additional statement, Sundström noted that the new single “truly brings out the theatrical side of Sabaton”. “From the moment we started working on it, we were overflowing with ideas on how to bring it to life on stage,” he said. “We didn’t just want to play it — we wanted to show it.” An accompanying music video, directed by Ivan Čolić, was shot on location in Serbia.

Sabaton – ‘Templars’

Sabaton were last in Australia at the end of 2022, playing that year’s Good Things festival in December alongside the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, NOFX, TISM, Gojira and fellow Swedes Millencolin. Prior to that, the band also undertook a headlining tour in January 2013, and also performed at the inaugural Australian Download Festival in Melbourne circa 2018.
