The Rions Announce National Tour in Support of Debut EP ‘Minivan’

After a few years’ worth of singles, Northern Beaches quartet The Rions have released their debut EP. Titled Minivan, the five song collection includes the previously released singles ‘Scary Movies’ and the title track, both of which have helped to grow the band’s audience over the first half of 2023.

The Minivan tour is presented by triple j, who’ve played an integral role in The Rions story to date. As teenagers in 2021, The Rions won triple j Unearthed High. The Rions’ 2022 single ‘Anakin’ was the band’s first song to make it into the triple j Hottest 100, landing at #64 in this year’s countdown.

Along with metro and regional headline shows, the band’s tour itinerary includes appearances at Grapevine Gathering events in Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales and South Australia. The Rions will also appear at Yours & Owls on Dharawal Land in Wollongong this October.
