The Wiggles Announce the First Vinyl Release of Their 1994 Album ‘Yummy Yummy’

The Wiggles have revived one of their most beloved albums, 1994’s Yummy Yummy, for its first-ever vinyl release ahead of its upcoming 30th anniversary. The release is being handled by Impressed Recordings, a label that describes itself as “Australia’s first direct-to-fan vinyl brand”.

500 copies of the record will be pressed in four different colours: blue, purple, red and yellow. In a statement, Impressed praised the veteran children’s entertainers as “a cultural juggernaut.” “Legions of kids that have grown up with The Wiggles now play them to their children – and sometimes grandchildren,” they said. “We are absolutely thrilled to be putting this album on vinyl for the first time, available globally.” The vinyl is available for order now direct from the label’s website.

To coincide with the announcement, the original Yummy Yummy VHS has landed on The Wiggles’ YouTube channel. Watch the 34-minute episode below.

The Wiggles – ‘Yummy Yummy’

Yummy Yummy, The Wiggles’ fourth studio album, was released in 1994. It is home to several of their most popular songs, many of which continue to be performed by the current iteration of The Wiggles – including ‘Fruit Salad’ (where the titular Yummy Yummy line comes from), ‘Hot Potato’ and ‘D.O.R.O.T.H.Y. (My Favourite Dinosaur)’.

The Wiggles – comprising OG Wiggle Anthony Field with long-time Wiggles Simon Pryce and Lachy Gillespie and newcomer Tsehay Hawkins – are on tour throughout December performing their Wiggly Big Day Out show. They will perform in Townsville tomorrow (6th December) before heading to Mackay, Brisbane, Newcastle, Wollongong and Sydney over the coming weeks.
