UNIFY Gathering Teases Mystery “International Artist” For 2019 Lineup

UPDATE: UNIFY Gathering 2019 Lineup Announced

ORIGINAL STORY: Organisers of Victoria’s UNIFY Gathering heavy music festival have teased the identity of an “international artist” who will appear on the event’s forthcoming 2019 lineup.

In a statement to Wall Of Sound, UNIFY organisers confirmed that next year’s UNIFY roster will feature “an international artist… playing one of their early 2000’s albums in full”.

Which got us thinking, could it be…

Silverstein marking the 15th anniversary of When Broken Is Easily Fixed?

Marilyn Manson doing The Golden Age of Grotesque?

Sum 41 playing Does This Look Infected?

Blink-182 bringing back Take Off Your Pants and Jacket? (hey, we can dream)

Smash Mouth playing their 2001 self-titled album????

The 2019 UNIFY lineup is expected to be announced on Thursday, 9th August, but organisers have previously confirmed that a number of the acts listed on an “obviously fake” lineup poster are actually on the real lineup.

Unified Music Group’s Chief Creative Officer Luke Logemann previously told Music Feeds his team have taken some risks with their new roster.

“It’s creative and awesome, and we even took some risks we think are going to be incredible for our audience,” he said in June.

Today’s lineup teaser comes after UNIFY organisers gave punters a first look at the festival’s new location last week.

Taking place over three days in January, UNIFY Gathering is 2019 reportedly hoping to attract 12,500 festival-goers, up from 7,500 in 2018.

The 2018 UNIFY Gathering lineup featured the likes of Parkway Drive, Architects, The Amity Affliction, Polaris, Hands Like Houses, Make Them Suffer and Tonight Alive.

Stay tuned to Music Feeds for the 2019 lineup as soon as it arrives.
