Written by John Ritchie on August 2, 2012

Update 08/08: Soundwave 2013 lineup has been officially announced! Check it out here!

The Soundwave 2013 lineup announcement could be thrust upon us as early as Wednesday next week. Festival boss AJ Maddah had previously declared mid August as the time for the announcement however, it looks like he’ll continue this years festival trend and announce early. August 8th has been penciled in as the date meaning Soundwave fans have less than a week to wait to end the months of speculation, tickets are expected to go on sale August 15th.

Update 04/08/2012: Soundwave lineup will be announced between 8am and 9am Wednesday 8th August. Like Music Feeds on Facebook to get the lineup FIRST.

Maddah has been teasing his twitter followers for months with hints on who will play next years festival and you can check out a full list of bands expected to play over here. Current confirmed acts include Stone Sour, Of Mice & Men, Cancer Bats, Six Feet Under Kingdom of Sorrow and
Woe Is Me.

Blink 182 are the hot tip to headline the festival after drummer Travis Barker let slip that the band planned to tour Australia but with a different drummer. Barker then contemplated “Getting Knocked Out And Getting On A Plane To Australia.”

If history is anything to go by there is every chance the announcement date could change again on multiple occasions but somehow things feel different this year…I can’t wait. Oh yeah and the good news for fans from the West, Soundwave Perth is going ahead.
