FLETCHER Reschedules Australian Tour to 2024

US pop artist FLETCHER will make her anticipated return to Australia in July 2024. The tour, in support of FLETCHER’s Girl of My Dreams LP, was originally due to happen in November and December 2023, but got pushed back after the artist was diagnosed with Lyme disease.

All tickets for FLETCHER’s original tour will remain valid for the 2024 run, which begins at Perth’s Metro City on Tuesday, 16th July. FLETCHER will then perform in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney before wrapping up in Auckland on Sunday, 28th July.

FLETCHER – ‘Becky’s So Hot’

FLETCHER went public with her Lyme disease diagnosis in mid-September. “As you may have noticed, I’ve been pretty quiet on socials lately and wanted to share why,” the artist wrote on Instagram. “I have recently been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I started to become increasingly ill over the last couple of years and just kept pushing even though I knew there was something deeper going on.”

FLETCHER went on to say she was receiving treatment and educating herself on the nature of the illness. “Lyme has affected me in a variety of ways. It has not only taken a tremendous toll on my physical body, it has also caused concern for my voice as well.”

The rescheduled tour follows the release of FLETCHER’s debut album, Girl of My Dreams, which came out in September 2022. The album includes the singles ‘Becky’s So Hot’, ‘Sting’ and ‘Better Version’. The former went viral on TikTok – spurred on by some influencer drama – leading Girl Of My Dreams to rise towards the top of the US Billboard albums chart.

“My album picks up where I left off emotionally with my EP [The S(ex) Tapes] both thematically and sonically,” Fletcher told Clash Magazine. “It walks us through the journey of the last two years of my life. It’s a time capsule of my growth.”
