Griff Announces One-Off Australian Headline Show

English pop singer-songwriter Griff has announced a one-off headline show in Sydney early next year. The singer – who will be in the country touring with Heaps Good Festival – will perform at the Metro Theatre on Wednesday, 3rd January.

Griff – real name Sarah Faith Griffiths – will play all three Heaps Good tour dates, beginning on Sunday, 31st December at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. The festival then moves through Sandstone Point on Tuesday, 2nd January, and finally finishes in Adelaide on Saturday, 6th January. See the full list of Griff’s Australian tour dates below.

Griff: ‘Black Hole’

The singer has released a string of successful singles, the most recent being ‘Vertigo’, which dropped in September.

“When someone leaves your life, you spend a lot of time asking if it was your fault,” Griff told Dork recently. “This song lists all those reasons why it could be, but it’s also about trying to reassure yourself that there was nothing you could have done to make it better. With the way it crescendos, I’ve always heard it as a bit of an emotional rollercoaster.

“There’s a darkness to ‘Vertigo’ that maybe I haven’t tapped into as much before. It’s still major, but there’s something quite dark and moody about it too,” Griff continued. “It’s the start of a new season for me, for sure. I’ve been writing a lot and trying to figure out what’s right for me. We’ll start with ‘Vertigo’ and see where we end up.”

Griff also told Dork she’s currently putting the finishing touches on her highly anticipated debut album, which will most likely arrive next year.
