Overmono Add Melbourne Headline Show to 2024 Australian Tour

Welsh drum and bass duo Overmono will be in the country over the New Year’s period for performances at Beyond the Valley, Sun Cycle NYD and Lost Paradise. The pair previously announced headline shows in Sydney and Brisbane and have now added a Melbourne date to the itinerary.

Brothers Tom and Ed Russell will be at Forum Melbourne on Thursday, 4th January. They’ll head to Brisbane for a gig at the Princess Theatre on Friday, 5th and finish up at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Saturday, 6th January.

Overmono – ‘Is U’

Overmono played their debut Australian shows in March 2023. They were on the lineups for the regional Victorian festivals Pitch Music & Arts and Golden Plains and played sideshows at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre, Brisbane’s The Triffid and The Metro in Sydney.

The duo’s debut album, Good Lies, came out in May 2023 via XL Recordings. Overmono dropped the new single ‘Blow Out’ in September. “‘Blow Out’ was the first thing we made after finishing the album,” the duo said in a statement. “After that process of being quite methodical, we had an urge to write something that was really out and out lairy and wanted the bass to sound like it was playing out of a blown-out speaker.”
