Mildlife Announce ‘Chorus’ Australian Album Tour, Share New Single ‘Yourself’

Mildlife have announced their first Australian tour in years for June and July of 2024 in support of their third studio album Chorus, as well as lifting a new single from it to coincide with the announcement. The Chorus tour will take in four headlining shows across Fremantle, Byron Bay, Sydney and Brisbane. A full list of dates and venues can be found below.

The band’s new song, ‘Yourself’, is the last song to be lifted from Chorus prior to its release on Friday March 2nd. In a press statement, band member Kevin McDowell described the single as a “very positive, uplifting and bright” song. “I think we’d maybe matured to the point where these [were] the kind of brighter sounds that we probably should embrace just out of a sense of freshness, and even just for our own curiosity,” he said.

Mildlife originally announced Chorus back in November, sharing its lead single ‘Musica’ to coincide with the announcement. They had since released a second single, entitled ‘Return To Centaurus’. McDowell has described the band’s upcoming album as “a coming together of disparate elements.”

“It’s about cosmic compatibility and chemistry: what makes things work?” he said. “Not just what makes the band work, but what makes good music, art or love? It’s the rhythm of nature.”

In addition to the Chorus headlining shows, the band are also scheduled to perform at A Festival Called Panama in March for its 2024 iteration alongside the likes of The Beths, King Stingray and Kaiit.
